FROM SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA Smelling the Roses SCOTTSDALE, Dec 4, 2007 - You know what they about how we should supposedly take time out of our busy schedules "to smell the roses?" Well, that's what I did today. These are the roses that came up after I took pity on them and completely cut them down in early October. I think that the left (yellow) one is called a peace rose. The middle left was a brighter orange color than the picture shows. The rest of them, pink and white, had not quite opened as yet. Probably will in the next day or to, by the looks of things. And the rain storm that passed through this past weekend had cheered up all other plants in my back yard, as you can see from the above pictures. I feel bad, though, about all those folks in the Northwest and Northeast of the country that are being buried in snow. So take these pictures as this writer's invitation to come and visit me in Arizona.
And that's all for now as the clock ticks away toward the holiday season...
