Since a relative proximity to an airport is one of the requirements for my eventual relocation town, I decided to check out Spokane, a city of about 180,000 people in the state of Washington, only about 30 miles to the west of Coeur d'Alene. This is a shot of downtown Spokane as seen from the I-90 freeway.
This is the Spokane airport, which lies about 10 miles west of the city (so 40 miles from Coeur d'Alene along the I-90). As you can see, it looks like a fairly new airport which is being services by all major airlines. I understand that a flight from Spokane to Seattle is only about 30 minutes.
