A Preamble - at Bob's residence...
Emily was here for a part of the effort that encompassed four weeks of heavy duty yard work, to cut back the bushes that had been neglected by my various gardeners even though I was paying them hefty wages
And now, the rough outline of the trip...
The Canadian portion of the maps is missing, since I wasn't sure at the outset if I would go there. As it turned out, I drove through both British Columbia and Alberta.
Overall, I drove 4,430 miles (7,090 km) in 11 days across 8 states and 2 provinces. By comparison, the distance from New York to Paris is only 3,600 miles (5,760 km). The distance from New York to Belgrade is 4,512 miles (7,261 km). So my friends and relatives in Serbia can figure that the territory I have covered is roughly the same as if I had flown to New York, and then driven to Belgrade the rest of the way. Of course, this presumes that I could walk on water, and that my J30 is an amphibious vehicle. :-)
