Bob's photos from...

Arizona, Idaho, Washington, British Columbia, Alberta, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico

FROM PHOENIX, ARIZONA

Wyoming

As you can see, tremendous areas of the Yellowstone National Park were destroyed by fires some years ago.  Yet new life goes on...

A crowd of tourists await the appearance of the Old Faithful.

And voila!

And again!

More forest fire damage in South Yellowstone.  As I was taking this picture, a tourist from Missouri asked me if NO2NWO were my calling letters (as a ham radio operator).  :-)

This was the only picture of "yours truly" taken on the entire 4,400-mile trip.  The photographer was a man from Illinois, who asked me to return the favor for a photo of himself and his wife.

As you can see, the scenery around the Grand Tetons is simply breathtaking. So I will shut up so you can enjoy it without further commentary.

This portal at the Jackson Hole city park was constructed from elk and deer horns.  There is a matching one at each of the four park corners.  Jackson Hole looks like an old cowboy town now as it probably did 100 years ago.
